When terrorists invade the White House, Channing Tatum is probably the guy you want to rescue everyone. After all, he made it through one and a half GI JOE movies, 21 JUMP STREET and, um, MAGIC MIKE. The score for WHITE HOUSE DOWN begins exactly as you would imagine, with noble strings and pounding militaristic drums. The first set of cues are atmospheric more than anything, and it’s not until ten minutes into the forty-eight minute album that the action starts, which itself is again, pretty much what you’d imagine. Too many electronics getting in the way of things, too much dominant percussion. Yawn.
